Russell Wilson Introduced as Denver Bronco

Multiple Super Bowl Appearances

Quarterback Contract $245 Million

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson was introduced to the media for the first time at the team's headquarters on Wednesday, three days after he was acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Seattle Seahawks.

Wilson, 33, is one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in the NFL, having led the Seahawks to two Super Bowl appearances, including a victory in Super Bowl XLVIII. He is a nine-time Pro Bowler and has been named an All-Pro four times.

The Broncos acquired Wilson in exchange for a package of players and draft picks that included quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive end Shelby Harris, and two first-round draft picks. The trade was widely seen as a major coup for the Broncos, who have been searching for a franchise quarterback since Peyton Manning retired after the 2015 season.

Wilson is signed to a five-year, $245 million contract with the Broncos, making him one of the highest-paid players in the NFL. He is expected to be the centerpiece of the Broncos' offense, which also features running back Javonte Williams and wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton.
