Two Men Arrested After 15million Drug Farm Discovered In Peterhead

Two men arrested after £1.5million drug farm discovered in Peterhead

Police Scotland has arrested two men after discovering a cannabis farm inside a Peterhead property worth an estimated £1.5 million.

Officers executed a search warrant at the property on Thursday, January 12, 2023, and discovered a sophisticated cannabis cultivation setup involving 600 plants in various stages of growth. The plants were seized, along with growing equipment and other items.

Two men, aged 25 and 29, were arrested and charged with producing and supplying cannabis. They appeared at Peterhead Sheriff Court on Friday, January 13, 2023, and were remanded in custody.

Detective Inspector Stewart Drummond, of Police Scotland's Organised Crime Partnership Unit, said: "This was a significant seizure of cannabis, and we believe that this operation was a major supplier to the local community."

"We are committed to tackling the illegal supply of drugs in Scotland, and we will continue to work with our partners to disrupt and dismantle these criminal networks."

Police Scotland is urging anyone with information about drug dealing to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
